The Hamamura Hot Springs are famous for their wealth of thermal water and 500-year-long history. According to a local legend, a wounded egret fully healed after a soak in the springs which gave them their nickname of the Egret Springs. Bathers enjoy a view of quiet white sand beaches while relaxing in the rejuvenating water of these springs on the shore of the Sea of Japan.
