Inshu Japanese paper, a Nationally Designated Traditional Craft, has a history of over 1,200 years. Focusing on calligraphy paper, craft paper, dyed paper and more, it is currently used by Japanese paper enthusiasts and calligraphers alike. At the studio, there is an exhibition gallery introducing the paper, a store selling a selection of products that make excellent souvenirs, and hands-on workshops where visitors can make their own washi paper or lampshades. The adjacent café Berry also offers food and drink that visitors can enjoy while taking in the lushly green views of Satoyama in the Aoya district.
