Dozo Soba

A long established soba restaurant in business for more than 60 years serving the finest soba noodles on the 2nd floor of a historical Taisho-era (1912-1926) storehouse. The ‘Dozo Soba’, made from split buckwheat noodles, or ‘Nihachi soba’ handmade from locally grown buckwheat flour, are recommended. Meals are served in two-tiered ceramic lunchboxes with the restaurant’s special sauce. The interior is decorated with many folk art items, and the first floor is lined with pottery from local kilns in Kurayoshi and folk art items from various places. On the mezzanine floor are Tenjin-san and other valuable local toys.
