Kamogawa Sightseeing
Alongside the Kamogawa River remains houses from the Edo to Meiji Periods and white walled storehouses and Jizo statues, allowing visitors to enjoy an old downtown atmosphere in a modern-day town. Nagata Chamise, a 220 year old business, has a takeout café called ‘nagachacafe1801’ that specializes in organic matcha and hojicha drinks. Its green tea latte is especially popular! At Okamoto Issenya visitors can encounter a nostalgic scene of old-fashioned sweets and toys lined up in a small space. On the Kamogawa-Nakaumi Sightseeing Boat, visitors can take in the view of the white walls from Tenjin Bridge and, once out in the Nakaumi Sea, the ruins of Yonago Castle and Fukaura Bridge right from the boat.
