This museum holds some 12,000 of the works of world-renowned photographer Shoji Ueda, with exhibits varying by theme and pieces showing the novel Ueda-cho composition technique and thoroughly modern production. In addition to the exhibits, the museum itself is an artistic work of architecture designed by Shin Takamatsu, winning the prize recommendation by the Ministry of Education. Mt Daisen and its reflection in the water just are visible from inside the museum, making it an ideal location worth visiting for its view as well as its collection. It was also shown in the Korean TV drama Athena: Goddess of War.
